Monthly meeting - Last Thursday of the month starting on the 28th May 2009 at the 2 Mile Inn, N25 between Midleton and Castlemartyr
Welcome . . . .
Welcome to our new website ‘Route25classiccarclub’. I guess that if you are reading this, then you are, like us, mad about classic cars of the 60’s and 70’s. Please read on, especially if you are based in the south east quarter of Ireland.
I guess the first thing to say is that at the moment, we are not really a club in the true sense, but are simply a group of friends who share an interest in classic vehicles. What we are hoping to do is develop a network of people in the area and provide an opportunity to meet up and enjoy our cars. Our website is a start and gives us a base to share photographs, details of local events, reports from shows and runs etc.
We are based in the villages of Castlemartyr and Killeagh, which are on the N25, East Cork between Waterford and Cork cities. For those of you who do not know the area, the N25 is the main road that runs from Rosslare, thorough Wexford and Killkenny and into Waterford city, The road continues across County Waterford through Dungarven and onto Youghal . At Youghal the N25 crosses into county Cork, where it runs through our villages and then onto Cork City.
There are a number of Vintage clubs in the area and we are hoping to add something different by starting this website and also by organising some runs and events.
We are only 3 at present, but we hope that you will meet up with us sometime and swell our numbers. We are . . . . .
Simon (Dennison), Graham (Stevens), Mark (Kirby) and you can contact us by e-mail via this website.
