Pat Bolger 1935 - 2010

It is with great sadness that I write this article . . . . . On the 14th February of 2010, Pat Bolger passed away and with this passing we have lost a Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, a Gentleman and a great friend to many of us. I am speaking as his Son in law and I have had the preveledge to have known him over the last 25 years.

Pat was originally from County Killkenny but has lived in Waterford for at least the last 50 years. He was an active member of the Killkenny Motor club and owned 2 beautiful Morris minors as well as a Morris 8.

Pats first love was his wife and family and he took great delight and pride in seeing his son, daughter and 6 grandchildren growing up around him

He had a marvelous gift with his hands and a brain to match and this gift lead him to the second great love of his life, the restoration of old vehicles. Over the years, Pat, abely assisted by his wife and son , restored several old wrecks to their former glory and then enjoyed travelling across Ireland to shows and rallies to display these vehicles.

Here are some pictures of Pat . . . . .
